Sunsho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture; CEO: Kazuhisa Yamada) has decided to close its Malaysia sales office in Penang, Malaysia.
The Malaysia sales office was established in May 2025 with the objective of expanding into markets across Asia, India, and the Middle East. Since its establishment, the office has carried out a range of activities, including market research, regulatory information gathering, identification of potential business partners, and analysis of customer needs.
Through these efforts, we have gained valuable insights into the market environment, regulatory and certification requirements, business practices, and customer expectations. As a result, we consider the initial phase of market research and marketing activities - our primary objective for establishing the office - to have been successfully completed.
Looking ahead, we have determined that our overseas business activities can be conducted in a more efficient manner through a combination of business trips from Japan, online engagements, and collaboration with local partners. Accordingly, we have decided to discontinue our operations of the Malaysia sales office as we transition to the next phase of our global strategy.
We remain committed to overseas markets, particularly in Asia, as a key pillar of our growth.By leveraging the knowledge and networks we have developed, we will continue to pursue a flexible and agile global business expansion while carefully monitoring changes in the market environment.
