Sunsho Pharmaceutical’s Nanryo Factory Acquires FSSC22000 Certification for Food Safety Management

Sunsho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan; President: Row Imamura; hereinafter “Sunsho Pharmaceutical”), a leading company in the contract development and manufacturing for capsules, announced that its Nanryo Factory has acquired the FSSC22000 Certification, an international food safety management system certification.
Sunsho Pharmaceutical has been maintaining and improving quality in line with its mission for “exceptional quality.” To date, our quality management systems have been strengthened from the acquisition of the cGMP (NSF) Certification at the Oobuchi, Atsuhara, and Nanryo Factories. The newly acquired FSSC22000 Certification will take our quality management system to the next level, furthering our aim to deliver safe, high-quality products to our customers.

-What is FSSC22000?
FSSC22000 is a system standard for food safety approved by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). Based on ISO22000, the Certification has the goal of providing safe foods to consumers and employs specific safety processes and additional management requirements for transportation and logistics of purchased materials and allergens. The Certification is a management system to achieve enhanced food safety.
